Review: LZD Low Waist Slim Jeans & LZD High Waist Skinny Jeans

LZD Low Waist Slim Jeans (Yellow)

The Packaging
Nothing unusual, nothing special.

image

Yep, still a 28

image

The Quality
Now, this pair of jeans from LZD is everything its brown cousin wished it was. I would not say that this yellow pair is just everything its brown cousin is, their difference being only the color. No! Every flaw that other pair has, this didn’t– Factory defect perhaps?… which one’s the defect, tho?

If you’re gonna buy a colored pair of jeans, you’re gonna buy it for its color among all else, ryte? Ryyyyyyyyyte? Well, LZD did not disappoint! The color is very bright, very yellow.

No itchy thread at the back like last time

Dat zipper, tho~

Looking a bit flare-y there

The Price
I got this while it was on sale for PhP248.00 ($5)! I checked and it still costs the same. I keep wondering how LZD priced this to be a whole lot cheaper than its brown cousin. This pair is sooo much better!

With the brown pair, I’d have second thoughts recommending it as your next purchase, but with this pair– I’d say go for it! The fit is sweet, so is the color, not to mention the fabric. The phrase, “You get what you paid for” definitely does not apply with this one. I got more than I paid for!

LZD High Waist Skinny Jeans (Blue)

The Packaging
Since it is also from LZD, the packaging is nothing special, just your standard plastic vessel for your jeans.

image

Looking a bit black now, eh?

image

LZD was advertising this as “LZD High Waist Skinny Jeans (Blue)”. But when I saw it in the pictures they used, I couldn’t see it as blue, but rather, I saw it as black. In the pictures I’ve just used, it looks black, no?

image

Dat blue zipper

Having said that, it definitely looks blue to me now.

image

Is my camera able to get the blue out of this pair?

The Quality
I am just totally happy with this pair! It’s my first time to get the high waist kind, and even though I can’t compare it with another pair, I can say that I am completely amazed by it!

Another thing I love about this pair is how it’s also acid wash!

Enough with words– More pictures!

image

I actually didn’t realize it doesn’t have any pockets until I wore it and tried to put stooff in to my apparently make-believe pockets!

image

Thank goodness for back pockets, eh?

LZD assuring you it is high waist.

LZD branding~

Looks a bit black here, eh?... i'm not racist!

The Price
Like my other purchase, I bought this while it was on sale. I got it for 398.00 measly Philippine Pesos ($8)!

The Verdict
These days, an awesome pair of jeans cost more than PhP1,000 ($21). I got two for half of that price.

If you’re gonna buy something, why not buy it while it’s on sale, ryte?… just don’t buy something just because it’s on sale!

Review: LZD Low Waist Slim Jeans & Dinamit 555S Ladies’ Jeggings

As per usual, Lazada has products on sale! And, for the spirit of this occation, I bought two pairs of jeans: a) LZD Low Waist Slim Jeans (Brown), and b) Dinamit 555S Ladies’ Jeggings (Light Blue).

a) LZD Low Waist Slim Jeans (Brown) – PhP495

image

The Quality
What could be the quality of a PhP495 ($10) worth of jeans, you ask? Well, you knew this was coming: what you see is what you get.

You’d find a lot of threads sticking out that you’d need to pluck or cut by yourself.

image

image

image

The fabric’s made of 98℅ Cotton, and 2% Spandex.

image

This is what the fabric looks like up close

And the biggest con of all–

They suddenly decided to use this thread that makes your skin itch! And they even put it where it’s most uncomf– Now that I think about it, at least they didn’t use that thread along the stretch of the jeans. At least you could tuck in your oversized shirt or polo that would protect your skin from this nightmare.

image

I wasn't able to get a good shot of it, but it's shinier than your usual thread

After stating all those cons, there are pros with buying this pair of jeans.

1) It’s quite cheap! These days, a pair of jeans would cost you about PhP1000 ($20)! Php495 is something I would willingly spend for a pair of decent pair.

2) The color! It’s brown is dark and isn’t faded. It’s pretty on point!

3) It’s a good fit! Their 28 fits me well.

b) Dinamit 555S Ladies’ Jeggings (Light Blue) – PhP384

First of all, I really find it funny how this was advertised as Dinamit but it’s actual brand is Priceless.

image

Wait-- I thought I bought jeggings from Dinamit--

The Quality
What made me choose this over the others was its color (I have a certain bias with baby blue) and it didn’t disappoint! It is bubbly, light, and vibrant all at the same time. I showed it to my friends and they approved 100%!

image

Don't let these fool you, the front pockets're actually just there for display

image

On the otherhand, the back pockets are real!

The fabric is made up of 95% Cotton, and 5% Lycra, and it’s just like your usual jeggings. It’s stretchy, hugs the form of your legs, and feels totally comfortable.

image

It fit me well until–

image

Dinamit Jeggings looks like it came from Oshkosh when placed beside the LZD jeans

This was the only flaw this pair of jeggings had. I mean– the moment I laid it in front of me, I just knew, there was no way it’s gonna fit me 😦 I tried it in anyway, and it did fit my legs well. I just can’t get it to my waist and close the button.

Word of advice: Go buy size L, or XL if you’re not petite, like me. I usually play between sizes 27, and 28 which usually translates to a Medium, but not for Pricele– I mean Dinamit!

The Verdict
Completely happy with my purchases! If I had the chance to go back in time, I would still buy these pairs of jeans. The only thing I’d change? Get the jeggings in Large… I actually had my Medium replaced with size Large Baby Pink (the baby blue ones are now out pf stock). /crossing my fingers for this one.
